About The Advanced Studies Programme

Raheemi Academy presents a unique opportunity for the graduates and ulama/alimahs to gain proficiency in the main Islamic sciences under the supervision of Moulana Abdur Raheem SahebOur aim is that every scholar should maximise his/her potential. Every scholar should be able to give back to the community. We want to help Ulama/Alimahs in discovering their calling whether it be in leading communities, youth work, providing adult education, teaching the next generation of leaders or furthering Islamic Academic studies. 

The Instructors

Sheikh Abdur Raheem


Sheikh Abdur Raheem is the founder of Raheemi Academy and a graduate of Darul Uloom Bury. After graduating, he pursued further study at mazahir-Ul-Uloom, Saharanpur (India). He has also studied the science of Ifta and is a qualified MuftiSheikh has spent the last 30 years teaching and lecturing on the various texts that form the Dars Nizami Curriculum. He is currently the senior Lecturer at Raheemi Academy. Sheikh also travels around the world in order to educate the Muslim community. 

 Mufti Ayoub DB 

Mufti Ayoub DB completed all of his Dars-eNizami course at Mazahir-Ul-Uloom, Saharanpur. With the providence of the Almighty, he excelled greatly, achieving first place in all examinations. He is a student of Muhaddith-Ul-Asr; Sheikh Yunus Jownpuri RA, under whom he studied Bukhari Shareef who was also his spiritual mentor. 
After graduating, due to his passion in Hadith, he enrolled on to the hadith specialisation course in which he received the primary positions. He then enrolled on to the specialisation of Islamic Jurisprudence course in which he gained first position. In addition, he enrolled in the Tafsir specialisation course at Darul Uloom Deoband and would at the same time attend the Bukhari Sharif lessons of Sheikh ul Hadith Mufti Saeed Palanpuri RA. 
At the moment, Mufti Ayoub DB teaches the Holy Quran, as well as it’s exegesis, lexicology and linguistics. On top of this, he also teaches syntax and morphology. 

Mufti Nu’amaan Bin Sheikh Abdur
Raheem SB

Mufti Nu’amaan is a graduate of Darul Uloom Bury. After graduating he went on to study the science of Ifta under Mufti Tahir Ghaziabaadi DB at the seminary Mazahir-Ul-Uloom, Saharanpur (India). Mufti Nu’amaan DB is currently one of the lecturers at Darul Uloom Bury and Raheemi Academy and has been teaching the Darse Nizami for over 10 years.

Structure of the course

There will be a deep study of three main subjects:

Advanced Quran Study And Tafsir Programme
Advanced Hadith Study
Advanced Fiqh Study/Ifta 

These subjects will be taught by highly qualified experienced teachers ON-SITE as well as ONLINE. The course will require students to be dedicated and help them maximise there potential. 

PART 1
Advanced Quran And Tafsir Study Programme

What will the course provide? 
This course will provide an overview of the classical material on the Qur’an as well as critically analysing modern orientalist engagements with the Qur’an. 

What will be studied? 
The various debates and discussions found in ‘Uloom al-Qur’an texts will be studied along with the history and development of Qur’anic exegesis. A study of selections from various main tafsirs will be undertaken to provide students with a first hand and intimate understanding on how tafsir of the Qur’an has been approached from different angles by our great past and present mūfasīrren.

PART 2
Advanced Hadith Study

What will the course provide? 
The Advanced Hadith Study aims to provide students a deep understanding into the different aspects of hadith studies.  

What will be studied? 
The methodology used by traditionalists to authenticate hadiths, the practice of hadith study, the travelling for hadith and the compilation of hadith compendia. Adducing and juxtaposing hadith texts to inform understanding of the religion and the answering to sophisticated hadith criticism. It will also explain the gradual predominance of hadith texts as a record of the prophetic sunnah.

PART 3
Advanced Study of Islamic Jurisprudence

What will the course provide? 
A post-graduate course focussed on developing the ability of ‘alimiyya graduates to proficiently research and formulate legal responses (fatwa) to both complex and everyday issues (nawazil). 

What will be studied? 
The course comprises the study of important texts on usul al-fiqh (legal theory), qawa’id alfiqh (legal maxims), usul al-ifta’ (principles of fatwa giving) and juz’iat (derivative rulings). Students study research methodology and the ifta’ process in depth to attain proficiency in research and answering questions according to contemporary demands and sensitivities.

Method Of Delivery

How will it be delivered?
The course will be delivered ON-SITE as well as ONLINE. In a friendly interactive atmosphere.
Duration of lectures

The course will contain 2 hour lectures of each subject in the company of the Tutors.  
What will students be required to do?
Students will be required to make notes and relevant exercises/tasks will be given to students.

Daily Timetable:
🕐 9am - 11am (UK): Hadith
🕐 11am - 1pm (UK): Tafseer
🕐 2pm - 4pm (UK): Fiqh

Examinations

How many exams per year? 
There will be two exams per year. 
Pass mark 
65% 
Thesis 
At the end of the 2nd year students will have to provide a thesis of 10,000 words for their respected sciences.

Criteria Of Intake
Graduates of the dars-e-Nizami or equivalent system, who are inclined, can possess an advanced level of Arabic text analysing skills.
